Yea ok. Whatever. Firstly Rachel will be living here as of some ungodly hour Weds night. So if I go MIA for a week or so I am helping her get moved in, adjusted etc.

I AM SERIOUS!

I was at my club meeting on the 7th of this month. Well our President Jay grabbed me on the way in and said "Committee report, you need to fill 5 minutes of time"

I hadn't WRITTEN a report because I had doen it the month before and didn't have to report ot the club. So I just said "fuck it" and decided to wing it.

So I got up and gave my report, completley off the top of my head. Well a man by the name of Dr. Andy Michaud was there, he is opposing our fiendish DEVIL of a congressman Republican Tom Feeney in the municipals next year.

This is good because Feeney is SATAN, he has also ran unopposed for the past few terms and has gotten FAR to comfortable in his little congressional district for my liking.

Well I approached Mr. Michaud afterwards and told him I loved his speech. We talked for a long time as we helped club Pres Jay put up the chairs on the tables. I said I was willing to volunteer for his campaign, he gave me a card.

He was great, engaging speaker, small town guy, like he stepped out of a John Melllencamp song. I e-mailed him that night as soon as I came home. The next day I had a e-mail back telling me I was hired and I was not going to be answering phones, I was a campaign Rep-Cooridnator for all the volunteers in Southeast Volusia County. BIG FUCKING JOB.

Call me crazy, I took it without blinking.

I am working on a ACTUAL campaign. We have great strategy I think we have a chance to win.

SO YAY! BE HAPPY FOR ME!

Because in all reality, I am stunned. Such positions are usually given to people who have been in politics longer than I, but he was willing to take a chance on me.

Now, what would an entry be without a Ivy rant?

Since I started working in politics people ask me how I manage to NOT be stressed. How in the hell I handle the tremendous amount of pressure?

Simple answer. See, I intergrate meditation and alot of Buddhist principals into my life. I do not believe in wasting time on stress.

I believe if you are angry or sad or stressed or any other number of volatile emotions you should do the following.

Sit down and allow yourself to revel in that emotion for TEN MINUTES, no more then get up and be over it. I know that sounds impossible when your really pissed or you have just been dumped but truly. Feel it to it's extreme for ten minutes then get over it.

Secondly, I do not believe in living in the past at all, whatsoever.

I have a saying that goes "For every dream you try to relive, a dream you have yet to have dies."

Are you prepared to sacrifice that? I'm not. You see, I believe each moment only happens once and you have to take it then, and at face value for all it's worth because it will never happen again. Every moment only happens once people, seriously.

You cannot relive them, once it's gone it's gone. A memory is just that, nice but not able to be lived again. You have to start over again from fresh every day. Instead of finding that frustrating look at it as a damn oppurtunity.

Now a little writing rant.

People, I am NOT a writer. I am a storyteller. There's a difference. I treat every story/poem/book I write as a biography, because for ALL I KNOW that character may actually exist somewhere, and I would hate for them to see my story and come hunt me down because I didn't write them correctly. Scary thought huh?

I think you have to become your character in order to write them, superimposing your will over your characters will not make for a good story. One may be a pristine writer, but if one is not a storyteller their writing will in the end fall flat.

Now, a little rant about the arrogance of most humans.

So if you watch the news we have had shark attacks and allready people are FREAKING out.

Did you know statistically more people will be killed by toilet cleaning products and cows in a year than by sharks?

It's true. I have been a licensed scuba diver for YEARS. I have been ALL OVER to dive with MANY different kinds of sharks. HUGE sharks, great white sharks..........I have NEVER been threatended nor bit.

A girl was out past a sandbar in water so deep the bottom couldn't be seen. She was fourteen, on a boogie board and splashing around. No lifeguards no nothing, she got bit and bled to death because help didn't get there fast enough, yet this is the shark's fault?

Um she was in a school of bait fish, AKA SHARK FOOD. But it's the shark's fault. Sure call me crazy or a complete bitch for not being sympathetic. I just dont think screaming "SHARK EPIDEMIC!" and killing sharks will solve the problem.

Sharks outdate trees for FUCK'S SAKE! I mean seriously, are we so arrogant to walk in and believe that we go in THEIR ocean, we act stupid, then get bit by the "stupid animal" and FREAK OUT!

Um,if you don't want to get bit, dont go in the ocean, we dont have gills maybe we werewn't meant to go in the damn ocean anyways. Or at LEAST educate yourself and learn how to respect them.

To do otherwise is arrogant, and don't we act arrogant enough? We assume we can dominate other countries and naimals as well. After all why extend a hand in peace to lesser beings like animals?

I think not. Plus the Downing Street Memo, I hope we get impeachment, the man basically SAYS he had to LIE and make up a reason to go to war because there was no WOMD'S, no connection to 9-11, and no "imminent threat" to the U.S.A.

The Republicans screwed themselves, they set the bar so LOW for impeachment {IE: Clinton} that if it's proven the {p}Resident lied he's a goner.

In any case I leave you with this.
